Art and culture have the power to change the way we see the world around us and make us aware of our relationship with ourselves and others, the world and our time. Facts alone will not make us become a sustainable society; we need to be moved, shaken and involved. How can art and site development be used to create a sustainable society in Storkriket? The work has begun through various local initiatives, but much remains to be done.
At the seminar, we meet cross-sectoral researchers, associations, municipalities, students, citizens to get an insight into what a UNESCO biosphere reserve is and to be inspired and talk about the role of art and culture in the development of the Greater Region? Welcome to the event!
Program:
What is a Unesco Biosphere Reserve? – How can Storkriket be a model and innovation arena for exploring culture as a support process for sustainability.
1-2 lecturers who will talk about the subject from a researcher´s perspective.
After the seminar we will offer a light lunch and invite participants to mingle before joining us for the connected event “Konstworkshop - Share your care for nature” that starts at 12:30, just outside Stadshallen (in Swedish).
