Organise an event during the Sustainability Week 13-18 April, 2026 - Staff

If you are employed at LU or the municipality and are interested in organising an event, you can apply via our expression of interest form that is linked further down on this site.
Please note that there will be some changes this year compared to previous years. One of these is the criteria, which you will find at this page. You will also find tips on how to plan and create a successful and sustainable event, as well as how the coordination group can support you.

Venues
The Sustainability Week coordination group books a number of venues for organisers to host their events in during the week. You can read more about the venues here. You then select which venue or venues you would prefer to organise your event in in the call for interest form. We cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice as there are limited time slots available, but we will do our best!
Please note that all initial communication with the venues will be done through us.
At Stadshallen, in the heart of central Lund, there are two event venues and an exhibition area booked for Sustainability Week.
Amfi
The Amfi venue is located on the second floor of Stadshallen and can seat 120 visitors. The venue is best suited for lectures and panel discussions. It has microphones, projection facilities for presentation and a built-in hearing loop. The venue can be closed off.
Just outside the hall, there is space for mingling and refreshments.
Botulfshörnan
The Botulfshörnan venue is located on the first floor of Stadshallen and can seat 80 visitors with movable chairs and can also accommodate a mingle with up to 150 standing visitors. There is a stage, microphones and a screen for presentations. Please note that the venue is open for people to pass through and to come and go. In consultation with Stadshallen, visitors can purchase refreshments in Taperian.
Exhibition space
On the first floor of Stadshallen, Sustainability Week will have space for smaller exhibitions in the form of hanging artworks or posters and, to some extent, smaller standing artworks.
We have booked the venue Hörsalen in the university building called Pufendorf Instiute, which can seat an audience of 50 people. The room is equipped with microphones and projection facilities for presentations. There is space for mingling and refreshments just outside the venue.
In the City Library we offer opportunity to hold events in the Atriumgården venue. This venue can accommodate approximately 100 seated visitors. Microphones, presentation projection equipment and hearing loops are available. Please note that the venue is open for people to pass through and to come and go.
More information to come
Outdoor events at Botan are also possible in consultation with the Botanical Garden.

Tip: Use the Checklist for organising an event on this page to help you plan your event.
If you need help finding participants for a panel, a moderator, or are interested in collaborations beyond your own networks, we can assist with contacts.
When inviting external guests, we encourage you to choose individuals who can travel to Lund using a sustainable mode of transportation.
Each organiser is responsible for reaching their desired target audience and promoting their own event.

- Targeted email invitations within your own networks
- Newsletters
- On your faculty, department or research centre website
