The events were arranged by an even larger number of dedicated organisers from both Lund University and Lund Municipality. This broad participation and strong commitment reflect a shared ambition to contribute to more sustainable societal development through encounters between research, society and citizens.
"What stood out for me was also the strong engagement shown by visitors throughout the events. The fact that the week serves as a forum for dialogue, rather than merely one‑way communication from the university and the municipality, is both important and heartening to see", says project manager Stina Lundkvist.
Lund University’s recent ranking as number one in the world in the QS Sustainability Rankings provides further context for the week. Sustainability Week is a clear example of how the university’s commitment to sustainability takes concrete form: all faculties, together with researchers, students and administrative staff, contributed to the programme.
Here follows a selection of events from the week.
