Call for funding of Thematic Collaboration Initiatives 2021-2023

The External Engagement Council is now announcing, on behalf of Lund University, funding for four new thematic collaboration initiatives starting in March 2021.
The Pufendorf Institute for Advanced Studies calls: Advanced Study Group and Themes 2021-2022
Employees at Lund University are hereby invited to suggest scientific problem areas, suitable for work in an Advanced Study Group (ASG) at the Pufendorf IAS.This call invites applications for autumn 2021 - spring 2022. An ASG gathers a group of researchers from different disciplines around a shared research problem.

Employees at Lund University are hereby invited to apply for the opportunity to establish a Theme at the Pufendorf Institute for Advanced Studies during the period autumn semester 2021 – spring semester 2022. A Theme is to revolve around a research issue, which best can be solved through knowledge from several disciplines in collaboration.

FORMAS call opens on December 10 2020: funding for kommunication projects on researh for sustainalbe development
Deadline: 2 February 2021
The projects shall be linked to Formas' areas of responsibility; environment, areal industries and community building and at the same time contribute to the global sustainability goals in Agenda 2030. You can apply for funding for up to three years of projects. Maximum financing for a project is SEK 1.8 million.
MISTRA call for proposals on a research programme: Societal Transformation for Climate Action

Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research call for proposal on research projects: Biotechology and plant breeding - food, feed and forest products
SSF is investing SEK 120 million to increase Swedish self-sufficiency and food exports and at the same time reduce climate impact. Four interdisciplinary projects with clear plant breeding strategies, in the areas of food, feed and forest products are funded. The research must be at the forefront and be of strategic importance to Swedish society and industry.

Biodiversa and Water JPI jointly call for proposals on research projects: Conservation and restoration of degraded ecosystems and their biodiversity, including a focus on aquatic systems
The call includes a two-step application process.
Pre-proposal deadline: 7 December 2020.
Full proposal deadline: 3 May 2021.

Humbolt Scholarships for Post-Doctoral Training on Sustainable Development in Germany (all areas)
A Humboldt Research Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers allows you to carry out long-term research (6-24 months) in Germany. Applicants choose their own topic of research. Researchers from outside Germany at the beginning of their academic career with a completed doctorate in the last four years may apply.
