About the PhD conference

New ideas and research are needed to identify and solve complex societal challenges. The PhD conference is an opportunity to encourage interdisciplinary cooperation in order to further academic research on all aspects of sustainability.

The aim with the conference is to showcase ongoing research on sustainable development and to offer a networking opportunity for PhD students with similar interests from the whole of Lund University. It is a space to meet and share ideas and research which hopefully strengthens existing as well as generates future cooperations across disciplines, departments and faculties.

The PhD Conference on Sustainable Development of 2021 included programme and event topics such as Sustainable land use and food production, Governance for sustainability, Performances to explore sustainability issues, Sustainable technology and innovation, Reducing inequality - leave no one behind and Imagining the sustainable city.
