Research Conference: Knowledge for Sustainable Development 2025
Welcome to the Lund University's 5th research conference on sustainable development, this year in collaboration with University of Cambridge, UK.
The IPCC is clear: human-driven climate change is already having a major impact on extreme weather, ecosystems, and people’s health and livelihoods worldwide. The good news? There are plenty of mitigation and adaptation strategies available across all kinds of systems. The challenge is breaking down the barriers—so how do we scale up what already works and innovate to go even further?
With this year’s title Breaking barriers to climate solutions, the conference aim to encourage dialogue and knowledge sharing between the two Universities. What can we learn from each other's practices? What are the current findings, what should be discussed further and what are the possible solutions some of the biggest barriers of our time? The program will address key themes, including
- Energy transition
- Biodiversity and climate
- Adaptation, loss and damage
The conference will be a hybrid event.
The conference is organized by the Research Board and the Sustainability Forum at Lund University, in collaboration with Cambridge Zero at the University of Cambridge.
