LoCaL, Low Carbon City Lab, is one of the so-called "flagship” programmes of Climate-KIC and the door is now opening for new projects to enter. LoCaL aims to unlock climate finance for cities and to provide investors with bankable projects to invest in.

With a total budget of 600k€, LoCaL is looking for 5-7 new proof of concept projects to be developed between June and December 2016.

More information about LoCaL can be found here.

Submission and deadlines

Proposal submission takes place in a two-step process. The first step is to submit a short, 1-2 pages, expression of interest and this can be done in two rounds with deadlines 4 April and 9 May, repectively. If the expressin of interest recieves a positive evaluation, a full proposal can be submitted until 6 June. For further information and instructions, please contact victor [dot] gancel [at] climate-kic [dot] org
